Historic Deerfield
Historic Deerfield is a living history museum preserving one of New England's oldest surviving main streets — a mile-long stretch of 18th and 19th century houses in the village of Deerfield, about 20 miles north of Amherst on I-91. Twelve museum houses are open for guided tours, each furnished with period antiques and interpreted by costumed historians. The site draws school groups, history enthusiasts, and heritage travelers year-round, and its collections of early American furniture, ceramics, and textiles are among the finest in the country.
Charter buses use the main parking area off Old Main Street, and group tours can be arranged in advance through the museum's education team. Confirm current group logistics directly with Historic Deerfield before your visit. Address: 84B Old Main St, Deerfield, MA 01342 Phone: (413) 775-7214
